A Better Choice
Discover how our hard seltzer stacks up against traditional drinks and see why Session Beverages can be your best option!
Calories 98 150
Lower calorie content helps you enjoy your drink without guilt.
Alcohol 4% 5%
A slightly lower alcohol content allows for longer socializing without compromising fitness goals.
Protein 8.8g <0.5g
Our hard seltzers use bovine collagen peptides as the source of protein giving you a varied source of protein essential for muscle growth.
While alcohol can reduce muscle protein synthesis post-workout, this effect is significant only with large amounts—defined as 1.5 grams per kilogram of body weight. Source: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3922864/
For example, someone weighing 70 kg would need to consume 105 grams of alcohol to see a 37% reduction in protein synthesis.
Our seltzers contain just 7.89 grams of alcohol per can, far less than the 17.36 grams typically found in beer.
When enjoyed in moderation, you still gain the benefits of added protein.
Sugar 0g 2g
Whilst the average beer contains low amounts of sugar, even less sugar means fewer empty calories and a healthier drink option.
Gluten Free Yes No
Our hard seltzer is crafted to be gluten-free, making it a great choice for those with gluten sensitivities.
Vegan No Yes
While our drink is not vegan due to the use of collagen protein, we explored various forms of vegan protein and flavor combinations to counteract the off-taste of vegan protein during development. We made good progress but ultimately decided to pursue the collagen option for now. As a small operation, we need to keep our offerings streamlined, but we have this recipe on hand. Be sure to subscribe to our email list to be notified when we release a great-tasting vegan option!
Alcohol vs Protein Synthesis
Research shows that for the average person, drinking 6 regular cans of beer (440ml, 5% ABV) can reduce muscle protein synthesis by about 37%. When optimal protein is consumed alongside, that reduction may be closer to 24%.
If you’re just having a few drinks, Session Beverages offers a lighter, protein-infused alternative — designed to better complement your routine.
Moderation is key!
